Last week, we had the honor of participating in Foro GO together with many other amazing companies in León, Guanajuato. This conference was a fantastic opportunity for companies like ours to demonstrate solutions for businesses that want to increase their international activities. For our purposes, we were able to showcase international factoring as a valuable resource for companies expanding into foreign markets.
Who we met
We had the chance to network with hundreds of people from a wide variety of industries, many with the interest of starting exports to the United States and growing them over time. We saw the substantial number of entrepreneurs in Guanajuato, including those in the construction industry who produce and export concrete to the United States. We also had the pleasure of connecting with many companies that manufacture leather goods, which is a highly successful industry in Guanajuato.
A two-day event
We had a wide array of businesspeople visit our booth from day one. After a great welcome by the event organizers, we had the opportunity to chat with each participating company and many of the speakers that shared stories that were both inspiring and exciting. We were able to witness the workshops that each of them prepared to share their knowledge and experiences concerning issues of innovation, economy, design, exports, and much more.
Our workshop presented by Carlos Harding
An outstanding member of our team, Carlos Harding, presented the informative workshop Factoring: Basic Concepts, Benefits and Opportunities. The workshop dealt with the topic of international factoring and how it can help small and medium-sized companies to prosper in their exporting ambitions. Carlos detailed our process of verifying importers for our clients to ensure that they will be trustworthy and pay responsibly. He also spoke about how we then purchase invoices and advance 80% of the invoice amount (minus a small commission) to clients as soon as the importer receives the products or services. He emphasized how we then take care of collecting the payment in the United States on their behalf.
Thank you
We thank our incredible team who participated in this event: Isabel Méndez, Carlos Harding, Christopher Algarín, Santiago Aguilar, Gabriel Porteny, Lenny Rajunov, and Fermin Rajunov. Finally, we are incredibly grateful to the entire COFOCE team who organized Foro GO. We hope to be able to take part in more events like this very soon.
